Pistol:- Any Centre-fire revolver or semi-automatic, calibre .354 to .455 in
Sights:- Any metal sights which may be adjustable, any colour. Orthoptics not allowed.
Trigger:- In the opinion of the range officer, the trigger must be safe.
Position:- Various. Both hands may be used to hold or steady the pistol.
Targets:- PS5. One per competitor.
Ammunition:- 60 rounds, to be supplied by the competitor.
Rules:- Club Police Pistol 2 Rules apply.
Course of Fire:-
Practice 1
10m : 12 shots to be fired in 2 strings of 6 shots. Each string to be fired in a time of 5 seconds. Standing postion.
Practice 2
50m : 24 shots to be fired in a time of 2 minutes 45 seconds as follows:-
6 rounds prone position.
6 rounds sitting or kneeling.
6 rounds from the left handside of the barricade with the gun in the left hand.
6 rounds from the right hand side of the barricade with the gun in the right hand.
Practice 3
25m : 24 shots to be fired in a time of 1 minute 45 seconds as follows:-
6 rounds free standing.
6 rounds kneeling position.
6 rounds from the right hand side of the barricade with the gun in the right hand.
6 rounds from the left handside of the barricade with the gun in the left hand.
Note
The above time allowed will include reloading before changing position. Competitors using semi-automatics are allowed a maximum of two magazines and must not load more than 6 rounds in each. competitors using revolvers may not use more than one quick loading device in any one practice. All ammunition required for a particular practice whether in a speed loader, magazine, or not, will be carried either on the main holster, belt or in a pocket. Under no circumstances may it be carried by any other person or placed on the firing point.
